KANE City Attorney RICHARD MORTON Director of Community Development R. DENNIS DELZEIT City Engineer JOHN V. GILLESPIE Chief of Police Per your request, we have estimated the engineering and construction costs for improvements along the east side of Moorpark Avenue between First and Third Streets. A summary of these costs is attached to this memo. The total estimated cost to construct these improvements is $ 103,000. This estimate assumes that all existing improvements between Third Street and the railroad right -of -way will be removed and reconstructed. The portion of Moorpark Avenue between First Street and Railroad right -of -way was included as a separate item in the estimate. These improvements are also recommmended in order to maintain the existing alignment of Moorpark Avenue. Based upon our recent experience with CalTrans, many of the existing driveways will be reduced in width. It does not appear that access to any one parcel will be restricted. It does appear, though, that the parking on three of the parcels will be reduced as a result of these improvements. All parcels will retain their alley access. -- RECEIVED -- City of Moorpark 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark, California 93021 (805) 529 -6864 Page -2- It will require approximately forty to sixty calendar days to construct the improvements between Third Street and the railroad right -of -way.
