At the Council meeting of August 18, 1986, staff promised
the Council written confirmation of the status of the
CalProp project. With respect to the issue of replacing
some of the two -story floor plans with single story floor
plans where they abut the existing residences on Vista Del
Valle, CalProp has agreed to make certain changes. A letter
from Robin N. Stone, Vice President of CalProp dated August
26, 1986 is attached explaining the proposed alterations.
A copy of a memorandum to myself from John Wanger of the
City Engineer's office is also attached verifying and
approving the suggested changes.
CalProp is requesting the approval of the affil -cted homeowners
before committing to the proposed changes.

It has been recently brought to my attention Calprop is
desiring to put one -story houses in place of the originally
planned two -story houses on lots 43 and 45 in the northwest
corner of the subject tract. Apparently, there was some
concern as to whether this would change any of the grading
or lot lines. In talking with Eddie Ramseyer of Ramseyer
and Associates, engineers for this project, it is my
understanding that no lot lines will have to be changed and
minimal grading changes will have to be done (placement of a
two to three foot slough wall between the lots). Mr.
Ramseyer assured me that these were the only changes that
would occur. ,
Based upon the information that has been presented by
Eddie Ramseyer, I have no problem with switching the home
design from the two -story house to the one -story house on
the lots as previously mentioned.
If you should have any questions regarding this matter
please feel free to call me.
