SUBJECT : Approval of Time and Material Contracts with Sully -
Miller Contracting Company for the Rubberized
Railroad Crossing Work
The attached report and time and material contracts describe
the work and accompanying unit prices and total cost. The
work at Moorpark Road and Old Los Angeles Avenue is funded
by the Los Angeles Avenue AOC and Gas Tax Funds, respectively.
These projects are funded as part of the adopted 1987/88 budgets.
As you are aware, the persistence of the City resulted in the
scheduling of this project. To conform to the time constraints
imposed by the railroad it was necessary to use a time and
materials contract.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve time and material contracts with Sully- Miller Contracting
Company and authorize the City Manager to execute the contracts.

SUBJECT: Rubberized Railroad Crossings
Moorpark Road and Los Angeles Avenue
Enclosed are two contracts between the City of Moorpark and
Sully - Miller for the paveout at the railroad crossings at
Moorpark Road and Old Los Angeles Avenue. These contracts
are ready for your signature.
As you and John Knipe discussed on August 4, 1987, the
quantity of work has increased and therefore the total price
will increase. However, the unit costs per ton and square
foot will remain the same. The sidewalk work will be done
under a 'separate time and materials agreement between the
contractor and the City.
Please sign and return the original of these contracts and
we will distribute them to the contractor.
