During construction, sidewalks were added to the Spring Road
project. The installation of sidewalks such as these may
have required years of working with SPTC, as has been the
case with Moorpark Avenue. So when the opportunity arose to
have them installed in one day and at a fraction of the
cost, the City Manager's approval was obtained and
Sully - Miller was directed to do the work.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
1. That the City Council accept the road paving work on
Moorpark Road and Old Los Angeles Avenue performed by
Sully- Miller Contracting Company.
2. Authorize the City Manager to pay Sully - Miller
$11,786.20 for Spring Road which provides 5 percent
retention to be paid 35 days after the Notice of
Completion is filed.
3. Authorize the City Manager to pay Sully- Miller
$6,645.82 for Old Los Angeles Avenue which provides 5
percent retention to be paid 35 days after the Notice
of Completion is filed.
4. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion
for both projects.
