Wall, City Clerk DATE: September 9, 1987 SUBJECT: Proposed Resolution fixing the compensation of commissioners At your meeting of September 2, 1987, your Council directed that a resolution be prepared which reflected your desire to fix compensation for commissioners at $50.00 per meeting with a maximum of $100.00 per month. That resolution has been prepared and is offered for your approval. The effective date is October 1, 1987. By approving this resolution, an appropriation of funds will be necessary to allow for the increased compensation rate for commissioners during this fiscal year. Staff will be reporting back to you on that exact amount after your appointment of the Parks and Recreation Commission. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve Resolution No. 87- VAS- fixing the compensation of members of the Planning Commission and members of the Parks and Recreation Commission, and repealing Resolution No. 86 -325 adopted July 7, 1986. M000ARK' CAL of COU7cil 4 ACTION: By 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark, California 93021 (805) 529 -6864 RESOLUTION NO. 87- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND MEMBERS OF THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 86-325 ADOPTED JULY 7, 1986. WHEREAS, Resolution No. 86-325, adopted July 7, 1986 set compensation for members of the Planning Commission and members of the Parks and Recreation Commission at Twenty Five Dollars ($25.00) for each meeting attended of their respective Commissions, provided that in no case shall it exceed Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per month; and WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of modifying said methods of compensation; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Resolution No. 86-325 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE COMPENSATION OF MEMBERS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND MEMBERS OF THE RECREATION AND PARKS COMMISSION, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 83-37 AND RESOLUTION NO. 83-38, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 21, 1983; is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. That members of the Planning Commission and members of the Parks and Recreation Commission shall receive as compensation for their services the sum of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) for each meeting attended of their respective Commissions, provided that in no case shall it exceed One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) per month.
