GENOVESE City Treasurer As the City Council is aware, the Peach Hill Park project is currently on schedule with the projected completion date of February 8, 1988. Enclosed is the construction schedule for the park with indicators as to the type of work that will be completed during certain periods of time. During each construction phase of this project inspection /observation services will be necessary to assure that all design plans and City ordinances are followed. Because the construction of a park site is unique in nature (due to the fact that it includes hardscape, grading, buildings, and extensive landscape inspection) the inspection services for the park construction has been divided into two parts. Listed below are those services assigned to the City Engineer's office and those assigned to Rowland Graham and Associates: R.W. Graham & Associates Irrigation Infields Fencing Play Equipment Site Furnishings Landscape Maintenance Willdan & Associates Foundation Masonry Carpentry Roofing Plumbing Electrical Domestic Water Concrete Interior Finish Paint Grading 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark, California 93021 (805) 529 -6864 The total number of hours currently anticipated by the City Engineer's Office for the inspection /observation services assigned to their agency is 120 of which approximately 75 have been expended to date. The total number of hours currently anticipated by R.W. Graham and Associates for their portion of inspection /observation services is 55 of which approximately 20 hours have been expended to date. Listed below is a cost breakdown of the cost for each service: Willdan & Associates Expended: 75 @ 47.00 /hr. 3,525 Anticipated: 45 @ 47.00 /hr. 2,115 Total inspection /observation costs 5,640 R. W. Graham & Associates Expended: 20 @ 30.00 /hr. 600 Anticipated: 35 @ 30.00 /hr. 1,050 Total inspection /observation costs 1,650 Total inspection /observation costs 7,290 In addition to the inspection /observation services rendered by R.W. Graham & Associates, this firm has been assisting in the administration of the project. This work includes analysis of changes /additions /deletions to the contract and any problems that arise during the construction phases of the project. It is currently anticipated that an additional 30 hours will be needed during the completion of the project. All hours are charged on an as needed basis only, therefore hours not utilized will not be charged to the City. As approved by the City Council at their last regularly scheduled City Council meeting, R. W. Graham & Associates was awarded the contractual agreement for 75 hours of inspection /observation and administration for Peach Hill park. Although it is anticipated at this time that additional hours may be necessary due to the vacancy in the Community Services Department, City staff will not request approval of any additional hours until the current agreement is nearly expended.
