DP -300 MINOR MODIFICATION NO. 1 (TERMINAL DATA CORP. /ACE AWNING, INC.) Background On March 21, 1984 the City Council approved Development Plan Permit No. 300, a 97,680 sq.ft. industrial building at 5898 Condor Drive in the Moorpark Business Park. Di criiacinn Since occupancy earlier this year by Terminal Data Corporation, the need has arisen to provide shelter at exterior entrances and to cover an outdoor equipment area and an outdoor employee lunch area. Five individual entrances are proposed to be protected with an aluminum covering (similar to a patio cover type of arrangement). The attached Exhibit 1 is a floor plan of the building. One at the front entrance and the other to serve as protection for an outdoor loading area. Canopy height will be eight ft. at the entrances, and 10 ft. at the other locations. Exhibit 2 is an illustration of the type of canopy proposed. The Director of Community Development has reviewed the proposed modification, approved of it, and deemed it to be minor. Pursuant to resolution no. 86 -276, the Director has the authority to approve minor modifications. This matter is being presented to the Council as a courtesy. In the event the Council wishes to appeal the Director's decision, it may do so. Should the Council desire to appeal, it should set a public hearing date. The next available meeting date would be the Council's regular meeting of October 5, 1988. If the Council takes no action then the Director's decision stands. Recommendation Receive and file.
