SUBJECT: DEVELOPMENT PLAN PERMIT NO. DP -300 MINOR MODIFICATION NO. 1
(TERMINAL DATA CORP. /ACE AWNING, INC.)
Background
On March 21, 1984 the City Council approved Development Plan Permit
No. 300, a 97,680 sq.ft. industrial building at 5898 Condor Drive
in the Moorpark Business Park.
Di criiacinn
Since occupancy earlier this year by Terminal Data Corporation, the
need has arisen to provide shelter at exterior entrances and to
cover an outdoor equipment area and an outdoor employee lunch
area. Five individual entrances are proposed to be protected with
an aluminum covering (similar to a patio cover type of arrangement).
The attached Exhibit 1 is a floor plan of the building. The type
and location of the proposed canopies would be as follows:
Location
Type
A entrance canopy
B equipment canopy
C equipment canopy
D equipment canopy
E dumpster locations
F entrance canopy

In addition, two other locations deal with future canopies. One at
the front entrance and the other to serve as protection for an
outdoor loading area.
Canopy height will be eight ft. at the entrances, and 10 ft. at the
other locations. Exhibit 2 is an illustration of the type of
canopy proposed.
The Director of Community Development has reviewed the proposed
modification, approved of it, and deemed it to be minor. Pursuant
to resolution no. 86 -276, the Director has the authority to approve
minor modifications. This matter is being presented to the Council
as a courtesy. In the event the Council wishes to appeal the
Director's decision, it may do so. Should the Council desire to
appeal, it should set a public hearing date. The next available
meeting date would be the Council's regular meeting of October 5,
1988. If the Council takes no action then the Director's decision
stands.
Recommendation
Receive and file.
