Richards, Director of Community Development DATE: August 30, 1988 (CC meeting of 9/7/88) SUBJECT: DEVELOPMENT PLAN PERMIT NO. 389 (CC&F) - MINOR MODIFICATION NO. 1 Background On June 17, 1987 the Council approved Development Plan Permit No. DP -389, a 112,300 sq.ft. industrial building at 609 Science Drive. fli crimci nn Since the approval of this building, a tenant has been found. This will be Tandon Corporation who currently occupies the existing building to the west (DP -301, 405 Science Drive). Tandon has requested two small changes be made to the building and site plan as originally approved. First, Tandon wishes to have cross access to both buildings. A 36 ft. wide driveway is proposed at the rear of the common property line. Secondly, a different configuration is needed for the loading area in the rear; originally, 2 small loading areas with truck wells were provided. Tandon has the need for a third truck well which must be much larger than the other two. This will result in a reduction in the total number of CAg_IFO2NIA parking spaces. However, the new total will still be 35 spaces in excess of the code requirements.
