As addressed in the items necessary for acquisition and placement of office furnishings, the procurement process will be the same process that was utilized by the City of Santa Paula and the City of Ventura. City staff has solicited another bid from Facilities Management Consultants for a similar procurement process. This firm's bid is 14% of the selling cost of the furnishings purchased. After approval of the Agreement, the City staff will meet with the City Facilities Committee to review the current design plans prior to the soliciting of bids by the Consultant. When all bids have been received, a review will be made by the Committee for a recommendation to the City Council. At the time the item comes before the City Council, any deletions to the proposed purchase may be made. Additionally the details of the funding mechanisms will be discussed and reviewed since it is currently anticipated that funds other than the City Hall Construction Fund will need to be utilized.
