ACCEPTANCE OF THE DELFEN STREET TRAFFIC SIGNAL
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The Delfen Street traffic signal has been in operation since
the first of the year and the contractor has just recently
completed all items of work on this project. This project
installed a traffic signal system with safety lighting at
the intersection of Campus Park Drive - Delfen Street. As
part of this project, the Delfen Street traffic signal was
interconnected with the signal at the intersection of Campus
Park Drive - College View Avenue. The total construction
cost was $84,915 including two change orders totaling
$1,575. The change orders were for an electrical service
cabinet modification and for additional overlap signal
heads.
The Council may now accept the improvements and direct the
City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County
Recorder's office.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Accept the Delfen Street traffic signal and authorize the
City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County
Recorder's office.
