ACCEPTANCE OF THE MOORPARK AVENUE RUBBERIZED
RAILROAD CROSSING PROJECT
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
The subject project replaced the existing asphalt crossing
with a rubberized crossing, thereby improving rideability
across the two sets of railroad tracks. This work was
constructed between August 29 and September 5, 1989 by S.P.
Milling Company and Contractor's Barricade Service.
The City engineering staff prepared the project plans
detailing the asphalt concrete paveout and traffic control
plan. This work was processed through Caltrans for an
encroachment permit.
The Council may now accept the improvements and direct the
City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion with the County
Recorder's office.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Accept the Moorpark Avenue Rubberized Railroad Crossing
Project and authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of
Completion with the County Recorder's office.
