HomeMy WebLinkAboutMIN 2011 0503 AC SPC MINUTES OF THE ARTS COMMISSION SPECIAL MEETING Moorpark, California May 3, 2011 A Special Meeting of the Arts Commission of the City of Moorpark was held on May 3, 2011, at Moorpark City Hall, located at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California. 1. CALL TO ORDER: Chair Amador called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Assistant City Manager Hugh Riley. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners Charles Blaugrund, Tina Hamous, Wendy Molloy, Mary Schwabauer, and Chair Jean Amador. Staff Present: Assistant City Manager Hugh Riley. 4. SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS: None. 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. 6. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS TO, THE AGENDA: None. 7. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS: A. Consider Applications for Public Art at the Ruben Castro Human Services Center. Staff Recommendation: Receive materials for review and discuss details of the selection process. Review applications and provide suggestions regarding appointment of artist. The Commission discussed the selection process and suggested modifications to the selection criteria.
