8. ADJOURNMENT:
All writings and documents provided to the Teen Council regarding the agenda items are available for public
inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during
regular business hours. The agenda for all regular Teen Council meetings is also available on the City's
website at www.ci.moorpark.ca.us.

participate in this meeting, including auxiliary aids or services, please contact the Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department at (805) 517-6227. Upon request, the agenda can be made available in

1. CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 2:05 p.m. by Trevor Sherman.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge was led by Trevor Sherman.
3. ROLL CALL:
Present: Courtney Beaulieu, Natalie Drizos, Shawn Fenerin, Natalie Garcia,
Rebecca Johnson, Robert Nguyen, Olivia Ordin, Trevor Sherman, Madeeha
Siddiqui, Vivek Thiyagarajan, Ryan Wicks.
Absent: Jasmine Barakat, Danielle Bautista, Ryan Bermont, Olivia Sichmeller.
Staff Present: Dylan Gunning.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
5. BROWN ACT SUMMARY:
Reviewed what the Brown Act is and how it relates to Teen Council.
6. SELECTION OF COUNCIL CHAIR, VICE CHAIR, AND SECRETARY:
Reviewed job descriptions. Interested parties will present, followed by a vote at the
next Teen Council meeting.
7. ADOPTION OF REGULAR MEETINGS SCHEDULE FOR AUGUST 2012- JUNE
2013:
Teen Council decided to hold Teen Council meetings on Wednesdays during the
summer. The meeting schedule will be revisited when school is back in session.
8. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS:
A. Teen Council Expectations
Reviewed the duties and expectations of Teen Council members.
B. 2011-2012 Teen Program Recap
Reviewed the teen programs offered during the 2011-2012 Teen Council
term.
C. School Clubs/Organizations Liaisons
Discussed which school clubs and organizations Teen Council members are

involved in. Once school is back in session, Teen Council members will act
as liaisons with clubs to promote Teen Council activities.
D. Winter Teen Program Proposals
Rescheduled to next meeting.
E. Country Days Participation
Discussed Teen Council's participation with the Country Days parade.
Additional follow up with Chamber of Commerce is needed.
F. Teen Council Official Shirt
Displayed the Teen Council shirt and collected Teen Council member sizes.
G. Teen Council Contact Information
Reviewed Teen Council contact information and made needed changes.
H. Calendar of City/Teen Event
Teen Council is expected to attend all upcoming community and teen events
during the calendar year of 2012-2013.
Upcoming Events
Teen Council expected to help promote and attend the Battle of the Bands
on July 21 , 2012 and Arroyopalooza on August 4, 2012.
