All writings and documents provided to the Teen Council regarding the agenda items are available for public
inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during
regular business hours. The agenda for all regular Teen Council meetings is also available on the City's
website at www.ci.moorpark.ca.us.

participate in this meeting, including auxiliary aids or services, please contact the Parks, Recreation and
Community Services Department at (805) 517-6227. Upon request, the agenda can be made available in

1. CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 4:01 p.m. by Olivia Ordin.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge was led by Olivia Ordin.
3. ROLL CALL:
Present: Courtney Beaulieu, Ryan Bermont, Natalie Drizos, Natalie Garcia, Robert
Nguyen, Trevor Sherman, Olivia Sichmeller Jasmine Barakat, Danielle Bautista,
Shawn Fenerin, Olivia Ordin, Madeeha Siddiqui, Ryan Wicks.
Absent: Rebecca Johnson, Vivek Thiyagarajan.
Staff Present: Dylan Gunning.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS:
A. Teen Council Volunteer Hours
Goal thermometer was made to encourage members to reach goal of 500
hours, approximate goal of 33 hours per member. Teen Council reviewed
hours for each individual person.
B. Discuss Bi-Laws
Trevor Sherman moved that council write a letter to repeal the by-law that
creates a term limit on Teen Council membership for only 3 years.
Courtney Beaulieu suggested adding into the by-laws that to be elected as a
Chair person or secretary, a council member needs to have one year of
experience on Teen Council.
Trevor Sherman amended his motion.
Olivia Ordin seconded the amended motion.
Vote Approved by all those present.
C. Finalize Teen Council Meeting Dates
Trevor Sherman moved to have Teen Council meetings on Wednesdays at
4:00 p.m. and to schedule bi-monthly meetings on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday
of each month.
Olivia Ordin seconded the motion.

D. Review Banners
Teen Council reviewed past teen event banners including; Battle of the
Bands, Club 4550, After Dark, Mountain High Trip banner, and This Friday-
7:00-10:00 p.m. banner.
E. Upcoming Events
Game Night: September 8 from 5-10:00 p.m.
Trick or Treat Village: October 27
The Hang Out: 9 a.m. — 3:00 p.m.
Winter Events Discussion:
Movie Marathon: December 28th
December 7 is an available date for an event. Event suggestions included a
winter wonderland, Holiday band jam, and a Winter Arts festival. January 4th
or 5th event suggestions included New Year's Event involving a balloon drop
and a movie. January event suggestion is a Bake Off. February event idea
is a"Dudes Night Out". Ideas included making a man cave or a Sportscenter
Moorpark. Include Test of Manhood contest. Watch a sports game and
have food and drinks.
F. Sub Committees
Sub Committees exchanged contact information and discussed
subcommittee meetings.
6. ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS:
None.
7. CONSENT:
Approved 08-15-12 minutes.
8. ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:02 p.m. by Trevor Sherman.
