ADJOURNMENT: All writings and documents provided to the Teen Council regarding the agenda items are available for public inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during regular business hours. The agenda for all regular Teen Council meetings is also available on the City's website at www.ci.moorpark.ca.us. ITEM 7. Pe) TEEN COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES October 17, 2012 4:00 p.m. Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, 4550 Tierra Reiada Road 1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 4:02 p.m. by Trevor Sherman. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge was led by Olivia Ordin. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Courtney Beaulieu, Ryan Bermont, Natalie Drizos, Natalie Garcia, Robert Nguyen, Trevor Sherman, Olivia Sichmeller, Danielle Bautista, Shawn Fenerin, Olivia Ordin, Jasmine Barakat, Madeeha Siddiqui, Ryan Wicks, Natalie Drizos. Absent: Vivek Thiyagarajan. Staff Present: Dylan Gunning. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS: A. Teen Council Volunteer Hours Teen Council members checked the volunteer hours chart. Most members are on track to reach their hourly goals. B. Upcoming Events 1 . Trick or Treat Village — 18 volunteers are currently signed up. Teen Council is encouraged to help seek out volunteers. 2. Movie Night— Harry Potter Double Feature is a free event for teens. Teen Council is encouraged to pass out event tickets for the event. 3. Band Jam — November 10 at the Moorpark Community Center. 4. Library to host the monthly"Library at the AVRC". First day will be on November 15 from 2:30 p.m. — 4:30 p.m. Teen Council encouraged to spread the news. 5. Library will host a Constitution Café with an open forum discussion talking about things relating to the constitution at 2:00 p.m. at the Library. 6. Formed sub-committee to present ideas for upcoming teen event including Game Night 2, Sports Day, and the Cupcake Challenge. a. Cupcake Subcommittee: Courtney Beaulieu,Jasmine Barakat, Natalie Garcia, Robert Nguyen, Madeeha Siddiqui. Teen Council Regular Meeting Minutes October 17, 2012 Page 2 b. Game Night Subcommittee: Olivia Ordin, Danielle Bautista, Natalie Drizos, Shawn Fenerin. c. Sports Sub-committee:Trevor Sherman, Ryan Bermont, Olivia Sichmeller, Ryan Wicks. C. Youth Summit: Discussed what a youth summit is and make plans for a presentation by Trevor Sherman. Council members to submit youth summit research to Trevor Sherman by November 7th D. Teen Concerns Teen Council members to anonymously summit concerns that face teens and event ideas for presentation at future meetings. 6. ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: None. 7. CONSENT: Approved 10-03-12 minutes. 8. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 4:55 p.m. by Trevor Sherman.
