CONSENT: Approval of 9-18-13 Minutes 8. ADJOURNMENT: All writings and documents provided to the Teen Council regarding the agenda items are available for public inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during regular business hours. The agenda for all regular Teen Council meetings is also available on the City's website at www.ci.mooroark.ca.us. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 4:07 p.m. by Shawn Fenerin. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge was led by Shawn Fenerin. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Bridget Aamoth, Courtney Beaulieu, Shawn Fenerin, Matiana Gajda, Samantha Gajda, Natalie Garcia, Megan Gratke, Gavin Mazur, Deema Momani, Olivia Ordin, Forest Sullenbarger, Laura Traffenstedt, Ryan Wicks. Absent: Danielle Bautista, Stone Hagman-Lawson. Staff Present: Dylan Gunning. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS: A. Teen Council Hours Dylan Gunning presented the chart of hours that indicated the hours completed to date of the Teen Council members. B. Nominate Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary Dylan Gunning presented the elected positions in Teen Council and informed the Teen Council. During a secret ballot Courtney Beaulieu was elected Chair, Shawn Fenerin was elected Vice Chair, and Olivia Ordin was elected Secretary. C. Upcoming Programs Cupcake Challenge, September 21: Teens bake and decorate cupcakes. The cupcakes are then judged and awards given. County Days, October 5: Teen Council rides in the parade. Pre-Halloween Glow Party, October 18: A middle school dance. Trick or Treat Village, October 31: Annual Halloween carnival. Game Night, November 15: A night of games including video games and sports games. Multiple contests are held for prizes. Teen Council Regular Meeting Minutes September 18, 2013 Page 2 D. Brainstorm Ideas for Teen Programs and Classes Teen Council discussed without conclusion about offering workshops and other educational classes that are not currently being offered. 6. ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: None. 7. CONSENT: The 9/4/13 Minutes were approved. 8. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 5:17 p.m. by Courtney Beaulieu.
