SUBJECT: Consider Resolution Amending the Fiscal Year 2014/15 Budget to
Allocate Additional Funds for the Campus Park Drive Planter Wall
Repair
BACKGROUND & DISSCUSSION
A City maintained planter wall located on the north side of Campus Park Drive, between
Pecan Avenue and Collins Drive, has been damaged by several vehicle hit and run
traffic accidents. In addition, age and weathering has caused the stucco covering to
break off in several areas, and the entire wall needs to be repainted. Staff is requesting
that the City Council allocate $6,000 additional funds to repair and repaint the planter
wall.
FISCAL IMPACT
This project was not included in the FY 2014/15 adopted budget. Zone of Benefit 1 is
funded through the City's Lighting and Landscape Maintenance Assessment District
(2301), and the Zone is subsidized by the General Fund (1000). On June 30, 2014, AD
84-2 Pecan Avenue, T2851 Fund (2301), posted a deficit fund balance of $505.61 and it
is projected to incur a shortfall of $9,169.61 at the end of the current year. The $6,000
additional appropriation is requested from the General Fund.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION ROLL CALL VOTE
Adopt Resolution No. 2014- amending the FY 2014/15 budget to appropriate
$6,000 from the General Fund (1000) to the Landscape Maintenance Assessment
Division (7900).
