AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF X0ORPAC#K, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CERTAIN
PROVISIONS OF CHAP"T"ER 10.04 OF `I`HE MOORPARK
MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO PARKING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPAR.K DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Section 10.04.220 of the Moorpark Municipal Code is
hereby repealed and a new Section 10.04.220 is hereby adopted to
read as follows:
"19,04,220 t City t . No person who owns
or has possession, custody, or control of any vehicle shad
store said vehicle upon any City right --of -way or alley. "Store;
for the purpose of this section shall be any of the following:
A. Parked or left standing for seventy -two (72) or more
consecutive hours.
B. parked at or about the same location, but not moved at
least one mile during a seventy -two (72) hour period. If
during that seventy -two (72) hour period the odometer, if
any, has not changed more than one mile, it will be
presumed the vehicle has been stored in violation of this
section."
S = ION 2. Section 10.04.225 is hereby added to the Moorpark
Municipal Code to read as follows:
"10.04.225

sgcTION 3. Section 10.44.300 of the Moorpark Municipal Code is
hereby repealed and a new Section 10.04.304 is hereby adopted to
read as follows:

be unlawful to park any commercial vehicle, having a specific
manufacturer's gross weight rating of 10,000 pounds or more, on
any street in a residential zone, when the parking is not
connected with deliveries to an adjoining property or in
connection with work being performed at the adjoining property.
For the purposes of this section, "Commercial vehicle" shall
mean any vehicle used or maintained for the transportation of
persons for hire, compensation or profit, or any vehicle
designed., used or maintained primarily for the transportation of
property for hire, compensation or profit. A van pool vehicle
maintained and used primarily for the nonprofit and work
related transportation of adults for the, purposes of ride
sharing is not a commercial vehicle.
sue;oN 4. SEVERABILITY. if any section, subsection,
sentence, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is for any
reason held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that
it would have passed and adopted this ordinance and each and all
provisions thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more
of said provisions may be declared invalid.
SECTION 5, The City Clerk is directed to certify the adoption
of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published in the
manner prescribed by law.
