AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA APPROVING ZONE CHANGE (ZC) NO. 93 -1 ON THE
APPLICATION OF MOORPARK WEST, ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER
511 -0- 162 -01 - 12039 HERTZ STREET, MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA
Whereas, an application was received from Moorpark West
for a change in Zone on the aforementioned parcel from M -2 (Limited
Industrial) zone to the M -1 (Industrial Park) zone; and
Whereas, the City Council opened and closed the public
hearing on this Zone Change on May 19, 1993; and
Whereas, the City Council determined that the proposed
Zone Change is categorically exempt pursuant to State CEQA
Guidelines pursuant to Section 15061 (b) (3) in that the proposed
Zone Change does not have the potential for causing a significant
effect on the environment; and
Whereas, the proposed Zone Change is consistent with the
provisions contained in the City's General Plan.
Whereas, the Zone Change from M -2 to M -1 is in conformance
with the updated Land Use Element of the General Plan and that the
public necessity, convenience, general welfare, and good zoning
practice require that the property be rezoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That the proposed Zone Change is categorically
exempt pursuant to State CEQA Guidelines pursuant to Section 15061
(b) (3) in that the Zone Change does not have the potential for
causing a significant effect on the environment.
SECTION 2. That the official Zoning Map of the City of Moorpark
is hereby amended, changing the zoning of Lot 23 of Parcel Map No.
LDM 10, Assessor's Parcel Number 511 -0- 162 -01 from M -2 (Limited
Industrial) to M -1 (Industrial Park).
SECTION 3. That the Zone Change is hereby approved, based on
the following findings:
a. That the proposed Zone Change is in conformance
with the updated Land Use Element of the General
Plan.

b. That the public necessity, convenience, general
welfare, and good zoning practice require that the
property be rezoned.
SECTION 4. That this Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after
the final passage and adoption.
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Ordinance; shall enter the same in the book or
original ordinances of said City; shall make a minute of the
passage and adoption thereof in the record of the proceedings of
the City Council at which the same is passed and adopted; and
shall, within fifteen (15) days after the passage and adoption
thereof, cause the same to be published once in the Moorpark Mirror
News, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, as defined in
Section 6008 of the Government Code, for the City of Moorpark, and
which is hereby designated for that purpose.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this2nd day of June, 1993.

the foregoing Ordinance No. 167 was adopted by the
City Council of the City of Moorpark at a meeting held on
the 2nd day of JUNE 1993, and that
the same was adopted by the following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS MONTGOMERY, PEREZ, WOZNIAK AND MAYOR LAWRASON
NOES: NONE
ABSENT: COUNCILMEMBER HUNTER
ABSTAIN: NONE
