SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES

Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, 4550 Tierra Reiada Road
1. CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. by Dylan Gunning.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
The Pledge was led by Megan Gratke.
3. ROLL CALL:
Present: Bridget Aamoth, Andrew Austin, Ryan Bermont, Josh Donner, Matiana
Gajda, Samantha Gajda, Natalie Garcia, Megan Gratke, Kanika Gulia, Lila Masson,
Gavin Mazur, Olivia Ordin, Laura Traffenstedt.
Absent: Stone Hagman-Lawson, Siddhi Salunke.
Staff Present: Dylan Gunning.
4. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS:
A. Teen Council Hours
Dylan Gunning reminded the Council the importance of the Teen Council
hours and how to earn the hours.
B. Upcoming Events
Volunteer Day: Saturday, September 20, 2014
Country Days: Saturday, September 27, 2014
Cupcake Challenge: Saturday, October 4, 2014
C. Teen Council Elections
Election results are as follows:
Chair: Olivia Ordin
Vice-Chair: Laura Traffenstedt
Secretary: Megan Gratke
D. Brainstorm Ideas
Dylan Gunning presented ideas for the winter season including a
Valentine's Day themed Cupcake Challenge, The Underground, Open Mic
Night, Teen Photo Contest, Letters to the Troops, and Greeting Card

Recycling. The Council like all the ideas and recommended we offer at
least one more program. Council was unable to present another idea.
6. ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS:
None.
7. CONSENT CALENDAR
MOTION: Teen Council member Megan Gratke moved and Teen Council member Bridget
Aamoth seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by voice
vote 13 -0, Teen Council members Stone Hagman-Lawson, Siddhi Salunke were absent.
A. Consider Special Meeting Minutes of September 3, 2014.
Staff Recommendation: Approve the minutes.
8. ADJOURNMENT:
The meeting was adjourned at 5:15 p.m. by Dylan Gunning.
