Moorpark, California December 17, 2014
A Special Meeting of the City Council of the City of Moorpark was held on December
17, 2014, in the Community Center of said City located at 799 Moorpark Avenue,
Moorpark, California.
1 . CALL TO ORDER:
Mayor Parvin called the meeting to order at 6:37 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL:
Present: Councilmembers Mikos, Millhouse, Pollock, Van Dam, and
Mayor Parvin.
Staff Present: Steven Kueny, City Manager; Kevin Ennis, City Attorney;
Deborah Traffenstedt, Deputy City Manager; and David
Bobardt, Community Development Director.
3. PUBLIC COMMENT:
None.
4. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS TO, THE AGENDA:
None.
5. CONSENT CALENDAR:
MOTION: Mayor Parvin moved and Councilmember Millhouse seconded a motion to
approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote.
A. Consider Termination of Agreement with Sully-Miller Contracting
Company, Approval of Plans and Specifications, and Authorization to
Advertise for Construction Bids for the Widening of Los Angeles Avenue
Between Maureen Lane and Leta Yancy Road (Project 8058). Staff
Recommendation: 1) Terminate the Agreement between the City and
Sully-Miller Contracting Company for the widening of Los Angeles Avenue
between Maureen Lane and Leta Yancy Road; and 2) Approve the plans
and specifications for the subject project and authorize staff to advertise
for construction bids.

6. CLOSED SESSION:
Mr. Kueny requested the Council go into closed session for discussion of one
case under Item 6.B. on the agenda.
MOTION: Councilmember Pollock moved and Councilmember Van Dam seconded a
motion to adjourn to closed session for discussion of one case under Item 6.B. on the
agenda. The motion carried by unanimous voice vote. The time was 6:38 p.m.
B. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
Initiation of litigation pursuant to Subdivision (c) of Section 54956.9 of the
Government Code: (Number of cases to be discussed —4)
Present in closed session were Councilmembers Mikos, Millhouse, Pollock, Van
Dam, and Mayor Parvin; Steven Kueny, City Manager; Kevin Ennis, City
Attorney; Deborah Traffenstedt, Deputy City Manager; and David Bobardt,
Community Development Director.
The Council reconvened into open session at 7:05 p.m. Mr. Kueny stated one
case under Item 6.B. was discussed and there was no action to report.
7. ADJOURNMENT:
Mayor Parvin adjourned the meeting at 7:05 p.m.
