ADJOURNMENT: All writings and documents provided to the Teen Council regarding the agenda items are available for public inspection at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center public counter located at 4550 Tierra Rejada Road during regular business hours. February 19, 4:00 p.m. 7q Arroyo Vista Recreation Center, 4550 Tierra Rejada Road 1. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 4:04 p.m. by Shawn Fenerin. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge was led by Shawn Fenerin. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Bridget Aamoth, Shawn Fenerin, Samantha Gajda, Natalie Garcia, Megan Gratke, Stone Hagman-Lawson, Gavin Mazur, Forrest Sullenbarger, Laura Traffenstedt. Absent: Danielle Bautista, Courtney Beaulieu, Matiana Gajda, Deema Momani, Olivia Ordin, Ryan Wicks Staff Present: Dylan Gunning. 4. PUBLIC COMMENT: None. 5. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS: A. Teen Council Hours Dylan Gunning presented the chart of hours completed to date of the Teen Council members. B. Report from Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary No report was given. C. Report from Promotion Officers Bridget Aamoth and Megan Gratke reported that they work hard to promote the teen middle school dance. D. Upcoming Teen Programs The St. Patrick's Day Dance will be held on March 14, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Moorpark Arts Festival, which will need teen volunteers, will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Easter Egg Hunt, which will need teen volunteers, will be held on Teen Council Regular Meeting Minutes February 19, 2014 Page 2 Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. E. Brainstorm Ideas for Future Teen Programs and Classes Teen Council continued the discussion of ideas for the St. Patrick's Day Middle School Dance. Topics of discussion included food items, music, giveaways, and DJ interactive games. 6. ANNOUNCEMENTS/FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS: None. 7. CONSENT CALENDAR: MOTION: Teen Council member Shawn Fenerin moved and Teen Council member Laura Traffenstedt seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar. The motion carried by voice vote: 9 - 0, Teen Council members Danielle Bautista, Courtney Beaulieu, Matiana Gajda, Deema Momani, Olivia Ordin, Ryan Wicks absent. A. Consider Regular Meeting Minutes of February 5, 2014 . Staff Recommendation: Approve the minutes. B. 8. ADJOURNMENT: The meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m. by Shawn Fenerin.
