SUBJECT: FRANCHISE EXTENS AN1 VENTURA COUNTY CABLEVISION
In view of the continuing neT,tiations between the City of
Moorpark and Ventura County C -blevislon (VCC) with respect
to the renewal of the franctlis- for that portion of the City
served by VCC, the City's at' orrey in this matter, Scott
Field, has requested the (7. i! !-ent franchise agreement be
extended.
This extension, until May 3, 1990, will provide an
opportunity for the Ci y representatives and
representatives of VCC to f !.-ther discuss the franchise
agreement and the enabling c inane

Approve Resolution No. 90 • extending the franchise
agreement with Ventura County ibleviion until May 3, 1990.

9-A RESOLUTION OF T E CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, EXTENDING THE CABLE
TELEVISION FRANCH 5E FOR VENTUR,. COUNTY
CABLEVISION, riROUGR MAY 3, 1990.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Counc action taken on October 4, 1989, the
City granted an extension of th, cable television franchise held by
Ventura County Cablevision, Inc. ( .'CC) to December 21, 1990, in order to
permit the City and VCC to negotiate the 'final terms of a new franchise,
and in order to permit the City to opportunity to consider whether to
approve a new franchise; and,
WHEREAS, negotiations are c li continuing.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CIT` COUNCII OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS
SECTION 1. The cable tele: sion franchise held by VCC is hereby
extended through May 3, 1990. `h« ems if the franchise are set forth in
Resolution No. 86-363.
SECTION 2. Within thirt , (::0) days after passage of this
Resolution, VCC shall fi ► in the office of the City Clerk a
written acceptance of this esolution, executed by VCC in a form
approved by the City Attor .y , VCC, by executing and filing the
acceptance, guarantees perf 'marcP ( f all obligations hereunder.
SECTION 3. The City Clergy ha' ' certify to the adoption of this
Resolution.
