SUBJECT: CONSIDER ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE
PLANNING COMMISSION TO SET A PUBLIC HEARING AND
PROVIDE A RECOMMENDATION ON A ZONING CODE AMENDMENT
RELATED TO PROVISIONS FOR RECREATIONAL VEHICLE PARKING
AND STORAGE IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES
BACKGROUND:
Investigation of complaints received concerning recreational
vehicle parking determined that the current Zoning Ordinance
provisions related to recreational vehicle parking and storage
were in need of revision. A resolution has been prepared for
Council consideration that would allow the Planning Commission
to consider appropriate amendments to the Zoning Code. Adoption
of the attached resolution will permit the Planning Commission
to conduct the appropriate study, and hearings in order to
consider an amendment to the Zoning Code.
DISCUSSION:
The attached Resolution for Council consideration will allow the
Planning Commission to consider appropriate amendments to the
affected sections of the Zoning Ordinance. The requested code
amendment would not require an amendment to the General Plan and
will more clearly define standards for RV parking.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt Resolution 2001 -
