Said Special Meeting shall be for the purpose of the following: 1. CALL TO ORDER: 2. ROLL CALL: 3. PUBLIC COMMENTS: 4. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS TO, THE AGENDA: 5. PRESENTATIONS/ACTION/DISCUSSION: A. Artist Interviews for the Moorpark Police Services Center Art Project. Staff Recommendation: The Commission and staff will interview the following artists in the order listed below: 1. Mr. Heath Satow 4:00 p.m. 2. Ms. Shiela Cavaluzzi 4:45 p.m. 3. Mr. John Krawczyk 5:30 p.m. 4. Mr. Gordon Huether 6:15 p.m. 5. Mr. Roger Stoller 7:00 p.m. 6. CONSENT CALENDAR: A. Approval of Minutes for Arts Commission Regular Meeting of May 19, 2015. Staff Recommendation: Approve as presented. 7. The agenda packet for all regular Commission meetings is also available on the City's website at www.ci.moorpark.ca.us. Any member of the public may address the Commission during the Public Comments portion of the Agenda, unless it is a Discussion item.Speakers who wish to address the Commission concerning a Discussion item must do so during the Discussion portion of the Agenda for that item. Speaker cards must be received by the Recording Secretary for Public Comment prior to the beginning of the Public Comments portion of the meeting; and for a Discussion item, prior to the Chair's call for speaker cards for each Discussion agenda item. A limitation of three minutes shall be imposed upon each Public Comment and Discussion item speaker. Written Statement Cards may be submitted in lieu of speaking orally for Discussion items. Any questions concerning any agenda item may be directed to the Parks and Recreation Department at 517-6227. CALL TO ORDER: Chair Blaugrund called the meeting to order at 6:09 p.m. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Chair Blaugrund led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners Rose Hoberg, Randall Pugh, Mary Schwabauer and Chair Charles Blaugrund. Commissioner Tania De Haz arrived at 6:19 p.m. Staff Present: Parks and Recreation Director Jeremy Laurentowski and Senior Management Analyst Jessica Sandifer. 4. SPECIAL AGENDA ITEMS: None. 5. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None. 6. REORDERING OF, AND ADDITIONS TO, THE AGENDA: None. 7. ANNOUNCEMENTS, FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS AND REPORTS ON MEETINGS/CONFERENCES ATTENDED BY COMMISSIONERS: None. 8. PRESENTATIONS/ACTION/DISCUSSION: A. Consider Artist Submittals for Police Services Center Public Art Proiect. Staff Recommendation: Select four artists to interview and set a date for the interviews. Jeremy Laurentowski gave staffs report. He stated that the City had received 18 proposals for the project. Minutes of the Arts Commission. May 19, 2015 Page 2 The Commission and staff discussed each and which was their top four preferences. It was decided that there would be five artists interviewed and the date scheduled for the interviews is June 23, beginning at 4:00 p.m., to be held in the City Hall conference room. The Commission reached a consensus to interview the following five artists: Shiela Cavalluzzi, Gordon Huether, Jon Krawczyk, Heath Satow, and Roger Stoller. 9. CONSENT CALENDAR: A. Approval of Minutes for Arts Commission Regular Meeting of February 17, 2015. Staff Recommendation: Approve as presented. B. Approval of Minutes for City Council and Arts Commission Joint Meeting of April 8, 2015. Staff Recommendation: Approve as presented. MOTION: Commissioner Schwabauer moved and Commissioner Pugh seconded a motion to approve the Consent Calendar as presented. The motion was carried by voice vote 5-0. 10.
