6C North Village Park
The AD Hoc Park Development Committee has met concerning the
conceptual plan for the park. The Committee along with Urban
West' s representative will review it with the Commission.
6D Country Days
The AD Hoc Recreation Committee will report on this matter
concerning the BBQ, dance and proposed horse shoe contest
sponsored by the \Moose Lodge. The proposed terms and conditions
between the City and Moose Lodge will be presented by the
Committee.
6E Monte Vista Nature Park
The developer of the park site, Marlborough, had anticipated
completion of the remaining items by this time. As of August
23, all of the items have not yet been completed.
6G Conceptual Design of Monte Vista Park
A proposal for Landscape Architecture service is scheduled to
be received Tuesday August 27 , 1985 and will be placed in your
mail box. The Staff analysis will be presented at the meeting.
STAFF UPDATE
7B City Council Action
The Council has approved the agreement with the Senior Citizens
for rent assistance for a Thrift Store. It provides for an
amount not to exceed $12 , 000. 00 (maximum of $1000 per month)
from Sept. 1 , 1985 through August 31 . 1986. The Seniors have
agreed to provide services to the senior citizen community of
Moorpark.
The Council approved the Commission recommendation for the
obligation of Quimby Funds.
7C Senior Bond Act Grant
The Senior Bond Act Grant is currently on its final draft.
The final amount of bond funds requested is just under $340 , 000. 00
The Grant will be submitted prior to the August 28 deadline.

6H. Planning Commission suggestion re: change of meeting - The
Moorpark school district has suggested that the Planning
Commission not meet on Thursdays since it conflicts with the
regularly scheduled Board meetings . The Planning Commission
had previously indicated a willingness to move its meeting
date so it wouldn' t meet the same week as Council and to aviod
restricting the rental of the Community Center.
In an attempt to meet these concerns the Planning Commission
has asked staff to discuss with the Parks and Recreation
Commission the shift of meeting dates as follows:
