of January 11. 1993. Staff Recommendation: Approve as
presented.
B. Approval of the Parks and Recreation Commission Minutes
of January 30, 1993. Staff Recommendation: Approve as
presented.
C Park Status Report. Staff Recommendation: Receive and file.
8 . DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS:
A. Consider Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay/Art Contest. Staff
• Recommendation: Open forum discussion; receive and file
the report.
B. Consider Committee Selection of Playground Equipnment for
North Meadows Park (Committee to give verbal report),
Staff Recommendation: Review and accept Committee
recommendation and direct staff as deemed appropriate.
C Consider Committee Selection of Playground Equipment and
Recommendation for Park in the Virginia Colony Area. Staff
Recommendation: Accept recommendation and direct staff
to proceed as necessary.
D. Update on Roller Hockey Program. Staff Recommendation:
Discussion item; profice staff additional direction.

The next regularly scheduled meeting is March 8, 1993.
Any member of the public may address the Commission
during the Public Comments portion of the Agenda. SPEAKER
CARDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE SECRETARY PRIOR TO THE
CALL TO ORDER OF THE MEETING. Speakers will be heard in the
order that their Speaker Cards are received. A limitation of 3
minutes shall be imposed upon each speaker.
* Discussion/Action Items which are judged by the
Director of Community Services to be of high
priority.
Copies of the reports or other written documentation relating to each
item of business on the agenda are on file in the office of the Secretary
and are available for public review. Any questions concerning any
agenda item may be directed to the Secretary at 529-6864.
