City Council at their meeting of June 2, voted to appropriate
amount not to exceed $2742.00 from the general fund to cover
additional expenses. This additional appropriation was not
led. In fact, as of this date, over $3200 of the original
)0 appropriation was not needed.
Due to the popularity of the 50's concert on July 25th, and the
p s tive comments received from the public on the community spirit
t a this type of event promoted, staff and Councilmember Wozniak
a e recommending that $750 of the above mentioned allocation be
a d d to the Labor Day in the Park program allocation, to provide
f r an evening musical performance at Peach Hill Park as a
c 1 ination of the day's events and as an extension of the City's
1(t Anniversary Celebration activities. If that date is not
a p opriate, the City Council may want. to recommend a concert on
a o her evening other than Labor Day.
R c ive and file the report and appropriate $750 of the previously
a 1 sated funds for the 10th Anniversary to provide for a concert
i onjunction with the Labor Day in the Park program on September
6 993, or another date selected by staff, with the balance of
the funds to be used for dedication ceremonies of the building at
A r yo Vista Community Park as a special event, and possible use
0 cquiring marquee signs to announce events.
