LUND County Fire Chief ')RPARK, CALIFOR";", Council MeeYng 199 3 •,CTION•' r< cY s By The Ventura County Fire Protection District would like to invite your organization to select one individual as a representative to the Fire District's Citizens Advisory Group. The primary focus of this group will be to analyze the current levels of services and assist the district in assessing and determining if services levels are what the public expects and deems vital. The group will hold 4 -6 meetings, the first meeting will be an orientation on the current levels of service, operations, revenue, staffing, and procedures. Once the present organization is understood then the process of determining new service levels will occur. Other areas that may be explored are: redundant services by government agencies; cost recovery services; creative financing; and the district's future outlook. Meetings will be held every two to three weeks at Fire Headquarters on Thursday evenings. The first meeting is scheduled for October 21, 1993, at 7:30 p.m. The Advisory Group will meet no more than six months and following the sixth month the group will be disbanded. The Citizens Advisory Group is non - political and serves in an advisory capacity to the district. The Fire District would like to request that minority representation be an element to the overall composure of the group, if possible. Participation on this ad hoc committee is strictly voluntary.
