CITY OF MOORPARR PROCLAMATION NATIONAL'CRIME STOPPERS MONTH JANUARY, 1992 WHEREAS, the CRIME STOPPERS program began in Thousand Oaks in October 1, 1986 under the direction of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department and is presently expanding to include other communities in Ventura County. WHEREAS, CRIME STOPPERS offers the citizens to become involved yet remain anon opportunity for ymous in reporting information to the police about felony crimes committed in the Conejo valley, Moorpark or Port Hueneme. WHEREAS, the CRIME STOPPERS Reward Fund is totally community funded by concerned citizens, businesses, service clubs and fund raising events. WHEREAS, through October 1991, 220 cases have been solved and 82 suspects arrested, 44 rewards paid by Crime Stoppers and 6 rewards declined by informants. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Moorpark hereby proclaims January, 1992 as National Crime Stoppers Month. IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, the City Council does set its hand and cause the seal of the City of Moorpark to be affixed this 8th day of January, 1992. Paul W. Lawrason Jr., Mayor John E.
