HomeMy WebLinkAboutAGENDA REPORT 1992 0304 CC REG ITEM 08PITEM F?- R_ NOTICE OF RE- OPENED PUBLIC HEARING FOR GENERAL PLAN UPDATE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing w :11 he held before the City Council of the City of Moorpark, Cal_ for-ni,a, on Wednesday, the 18th day of March 1992, beginning at' the hoer of 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the City Hali at 799 Moorpark Avenue, Moorpark, California, 93021. The purpose of this meeting is to consider an update to the Land Use and Circulation Elements Of the City's General Plan and possible expansion of the City's Sphere of Influence boundaries. Public testimony will be accepted at this hearing. NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTER GIVEN, that pursuant to California State law, an evaluation has been conducted to deteraine if the proposed project could significantly affect the environment, and that based upon an initial study, it has been found tkat a significant effect would occur; therefore an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) has been completed in compliance with -the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines issued thereunder. Limited copies of a Final EIR, Draft Land Use and Circulation Elements and Sphere of Influence Expansion Study are available for review or short-term loan at City Hall at 799 Moorpark Avenue. Two copies of these documents are also available for review at the Moorpark Library at 699 Moorpark Avenue. Purchase orders will also be accepted for the Final EIR ( $28.60) and Draft Land Use and Circulation Elements ($7.00) at City Hall, although a short delay may be required to reproduce copies. Entitlement: General Plan Amendment No. GPA -E9 -1, bone Change No.­Z -8971 and Sphere of Influence Expansion Study. Proposal: City initiated Update to the Cizy's General Plan Land Use and Circulation Elements and associated rezoning within the existing City limits which proposes a (year 2010) land use plan having approximately 14,127 dwelling units, an estimated 204 acres designated for commercial development and an anticipated 561 acres designated for industrial development. The proposed land use plan also shows an expanded urban area outside the current City limits which includes a total of approximately :- 'OOWARK. CAU"ORNA 5,597 dwelling units and 9 acres designated for .tyCcu: 7 eefng commercial development. The draft Circulation Element shows existing and new planned roadways, bikeways, and equestrian trails.
