SUBJECT: FY 1992/93 TDA Claim for Streets and Transit Funds
Background
The City of Moorpark's FY 1992/93 Transportation Development Act
Fund (TDA) allocation is $650,961. This allocation includes the
additional dollars that is due the cities from an accumulation of
past unappropriated TDA funds ($132,000 for Moorpark).
The City may utilize TDA funds for transit and street maintenance.
Concurrent with the adoption of the FY 1992/93 budget, the City
Council authorized the expenditure of $226,600 for public transit.
The expenditures for public transit include $91,600 for contractual
bus service, $132,000 for the rail station parking facilities, and
$3,000 for transit marketing. The remaining $424,361 in TDA funds
will go towards street maintenance.
The City must file an annual claim form in order to receive the
funds.
Recommendation
Staff recommends that Council adopt Resolution 92 -21-0, directing
the filing of a claim for FY 1992/93 TDA funds and authorize the
City Manager to sign the claim for submittal to VCTC for payment.
