HomeMy WebLinkAboutAGENDA REPORT 1992 0916 CC REG ITEM 08K'0"3t -�ye' ) MOORPARK ITEM 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark, California 93021 (805) 529 -6864 MEMORANDUM TO: The City Council FROM: William Phelps, Director of Community Development &11410 DATE: September 11, 1992 (PC meeting of September 16, 1992) SUBJECT: PROPOSED ZONE CHANGES TO MAKE ZONING CONSISTENT WITH THE ADOPTED LAND USE DESIGNATIONS OF THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN Background On May 13, 1992, the City Council Adopted Resolution No. 92 -856 adopting the revised Moorpark Land Use and Circulation Elements of the General Plan and related maps. In some cases, changes to land use designations created an inconsistency between the land use designation and the existing zoning on properties within the City. As part of implementation of the General Plan it is necessary to reclassify property in order to make the zoning consistent with the current land use designation on the General Plan. In addition, certain other properties including 18, 19, 20 and 21, while not a part of the May, 1992 General Plan action, are also being addressed to bring zoning into consistency with the General Plan. Recommendations Adopt the attached resolution directing the Planning Commission to study, set a public hearing and provide a recommendation to the City Council pertaining to proposed zone changes to make zoning consistent with the adopted land use designations of the city's general plan.
