ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE WITH CEOA AND NEPA REQUIREMENTS
For the purposes of this grant program, applications must
contain evidence of compliance with the provisions of the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and the National
Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) .
These two compliance measures have already been met through
the project development phase of the park.
RECOMMENDED PROJECT
The 1992 application would be focused on developing a
proposal for Priority 5 which could be used for restroom
facilities out in the field area of Arroyo Vista Community
Park, and/or Priority 7 which could be used for play
equipment in the two field areas at Arroyo Vista Community
Park. As CEQA and NEPA approval for this site has already
been met, the process should not take as long to finalize.
FILING DEADLINE
Applications for this program must be submitted no later than
December 1, 1992, to be considered for funding. As many of
the performance requirements for the grant were met in this
last year, staff feels that the grant application can be
completed and submitted in time to be considered.
RECOMMENDATION
Direct staff to prepare grant proposal for Arroyo Vista
Community Park for December 1, 1992, submittal .
