Corporation (formerly UWC) that they plan to schedule thF ground breaking for Country Trail Park (formerly West Meadows Park) for park improvements in late September or early October. The PC - 3 Specific Plan does not require the park to be open to the public until prior to the last dwelling unit of the West Village. UWC also provided the other neighborhood parks in PC - 3 prior to the actual required date. The final grading plans were submitted to the City Engineer's office and will be reviewed by the end of the week of September 19. The landscape planting plans have been approved by the City's landscape architect. The park improvements include all rough and fine grading, irrigation and landscaping, off - street parking lot, pedestrian walkways through the park, benches and picnic tables, and two play ground areas (one for preschool aged children and one for elementary school aged children) . No ballfield(s) ,basketball court (s) or a restroom facility have been included in this design. This plan was previously reviewed and approved by the City Council. The construction of the improvements will take approximately 6 to 8 months to complete, with the park open to the public in approximately 10 months. The annual maintenance cost for the park is projected to be approximately $33,600 (landscape maintenance - $20,900; utilities, water /electric - $7,000; and other maintenance costs - $5,•700). The landscape maintenance costs could be slightly higher due to the design of the park and the maintenance of the slopes of the basin. Using these figures as presented, this equates to an additional assessment of approximately $3.35 per single - family residential unit. Receive and File the Report.
