This is particularly the case on the north side of the freeway just east of Campus Park (see attached diagram). The net result is the creation of a "No -Man's Land" between the freeway chain link fence and property wall. Staff has discussed this problem with Caltrans staff. The response given is that, due to legal requirements, Caltrans is required to place a six feet (61) high fence on the right -of -way line. This matter is being brought to the attention of the full Council at the request of Mayor Pro tem Montgomery. i i.. 11. •, Direct staff as deemed appropriate.
