January 18, 1994 (CC Meet.inq of February 2, 1994) SUBJECT: Consider a Resolution Establishing No Stopping Anytime Zones on both sides of Spring Road between New Los Angeles Avenue and High : >trt,et OVERVIEW This presents for consideration a Resolution establishing no stopping anytime zones along Spring Read. DISCUSSION Recently, individuals have started Narking vehicles along Spring Road. The parking of vehicles along this area is incompatible with the nature of the roadway (the City Council has routinely prohibited parking on major roadways throughout the City), and the vehicle volume, speed and movement of traffic in the area. Although there are some No Parkinq /No Stopping signs on this street, they were apparently posted prior to incorporation and are not supported by a City Resolution. Staff recommends that "No Stopping Anytime" be posted on both sides of Spring Road, from New Los Angeles Avenue to Hiqh Street, and that the attached Resolution be adopted ustablishinq this parking restriction. RECOMMENDATION Adopt the attached resolution establishing No Stopping Anytime Zones on both sides of Spring Road between New Los Angeles Avenue and High Street_. CALIF ; / \,sign5 \spring 1 —pt
