Richards, Director of Community Development-p ' Date: February 11, 1991 (City Council Meeting 2-20-91) Subject: LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES - PLANNING COMMISSIONERS INSTITUTE MARCH 20 - 22, 1991 In accordance with the Moorpark Operating Procedure No. 1 - Meetings and Conference Expense; this memorandum is being forwarded to the Council so as to approve the Planning Commissioners attendance at a Conference regarding a variety of Planning topics associated with comprehensive Municipal Planning. The Moorpark Operating Procedure No. 1 requires that when the cost of registration, lodging, meals, etc. are at City expense, the City Council must approve such expenditures . It is the intention of at least two Planning Commissioners to attend the League of California Cities - Planning Commissioners Institute on March 20-22 , 1991 in Monterey, California. The estimated cost associated with the Commissioner's attendance is as follows: Registration Fee $170.00 Hotels @ 3 Nights $318 . 00 Meals $ 90. 00 Air Transportation $452 .00 (Oxnard/Monterey) Personal Vehicle $138.00 The remaining budget for conference attendance is $7642 . 00 for FY 1990/91. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Approve the attendance of Planning Commissioner's Mike Wesner and John Torres to attend the League of California Cities conference in Monterey, CA March 20-22, 1991 .
