Dear Mr. Hare:
Per your request, please find enclosed Gale /Jordan Associates'
proposal to perform a survey for the presence of asbestos containing
materials (ACM) using established guidelines at the Community Center
building located at 799 Moorpark Avo., Moorpark, CA.
The purpose of the inspection is to identify and sample asbestos
containing materials prior to the proposed renovation of the
structure. Bulk sampling will be performed by an Environmental
Protection Agency - certified inspector in compliance with the South
Coast Air Quality Management District. Rule 1403 and EPA /AHERA
guidelines.
G /JA shall review all available building drawings and specifications
for information regarding the installation of suspect ACM.
Upon completion of inspection, sampling and lab analysis, G /JA will
prepare a written report summarizing the test results and providing
recommended actions. The report will Snclude:
I. Diagrams identifying sample locations
2. Photo log of homogeneous materials
3. Lab analysis results of all bulk samples
4. Recommendations for future actions
5. Listing of homo�,Feneous materials
Note: No interior, exterior or exploratory demolition will occur under
this survey. Suspect ACM will be 1 °mited to that which is accessible.
