Richards, Director of Community Development DATE: June 10, 1991 (CC Meeting of 6/19/91) T, SUBJECT: INTRODUCE FOR SECOND READING ORDINANCE NO. 142 AMENDING THE MOORPARK MUNICIPAL CODE BY REVISING CHAPTER 5.52 OF TITLE 5 RELATIVE TO MOBILE HOME PARK RENTS Background At the City Council's meeting of Jurie 5, 1991, the Council voted to recommend approval of, and introduced for first reading, Ordinance No. 142 which amends the Moorpa,k Municipal Code by revising Chapter 5.52 of Title 5 relative t mobile home park rents. "e' COUncilmember Councilmember ORDINANCE NO. 14:" AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE MOORPARK MUNICIPAL CODE BY REVISING CHAPTER 5.52 OF TITLE 5 RELATIVE TO MOB'LE HOME PARK RENTS FOLLOWS: THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01' MOORPARK DOES ORDAIN AS SECTION 1. The Moorpark Municipal Code is hereby amended by revising the title and subsection A(2) of Section 5.52.060 to read as follows: "5.52.060 Rent increase -- Determination of allowable operation and maintenance and -remainder increases. A. Basis for Determination. 1. The proposed spac rent increase is to become effective no sooner than one ( L) year from the date of the last increase became effective at the rarticular mobilehome park. 2. For purposes of determining allowable increases, the space rent, shall be divided into two components as follows: a. Operation and !Maintenance. The portion of the space rent attributable to the co: -t: of operation and maintenance. This component shall be increased .is necessary to cover documented increases in this component. This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall enter the same in the book of original ordinances of said c.ty; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council at which the same is passed and adopted; and shall, within fifteen (15) days after the passage and adoption thereof, cause the same to be put:,lished once in the Moorpark News - Mirror, a weekly newspaper of general circulation for the City of Moorpark, as defined in Section 6008 of= the Government Code, and which is hereby designated for taat purpose.
