SUBJECT: ATTENDANCE AT THE LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES ANNUAL
CONFERENCE
BACKGROUND
This year's League of California Cities Annual Conference is
scheduled for October 13 -16 in San Francisco. Conference
resolutions will guide cities and the League in their efforts to
improve the quality, responsiveness and vitality of local
government within the State of California. The attendance of
representatives from each municipality is strongly encouraged to
bring forward the perspective of each community when structuring
the League's priorities for the upcoming year.
RECOMMENDATION
Approve attendance at the League ConferencE� by Councilmember
Talley and Mayor Lawrason per MOP 1

SUBJECT: League of California Cities Annual Conference
The League's Annual Conference will be held in San Francisco,
October 13 -16, 1991. A copy of the preliminary conference
overview is attached for your information. Please advise
Sally Coons or Lillie Kellerman by August 14 whether or not
You plan to attend so that it can be placed on the August 21
City Council Agenda for approval.
The conference registration deadline is September 20, and the
hotel reservation deadline is September 13. You may want to
consider reserving your hotel room early to assure
availability at the location you prefer.
