HomeMy WebLinkAboutAGENDA REPORT 1991 1016 CC REG ITEM 12AITEM C ORDINANCE NO. 12, A - AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ARTICLE 8 (SECTION 8108 -1.3) OF CHAPTER 1 OF DIVISION 8 OF THE MOORPARK MUNICIPAL CODE PERTAINING TO VEHICLE PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR PRIVATE MULTI -LEVEL PARKING STRUC TUBES WHEREAS, on June 5, 1991, tr e City Council directed the Planning Commission to set a public hearing to review the City's current Zoning Code as it relates to parking standards for private multi -level parking garages and provide a recommendation to the City Council with a view towards updating the City's parking space requirements; and WHEREAS, at a duly noticed puolic hearing on August 19, 1991, the Planning Commission considered this matter and recommended standards for private multi -level parking garage anc WHEREAS, public notice having ::;)een given in time, form, and manner as required by law, the City Council of the City of Moorpark has held a public hearing on September 25, 19!`11, nas received testimony regarding said subject, has duly considerec the proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendment, and has reached its dec s :)r; anc WHEREAS, the City Councli gas determined that the proposed amendment will not have a significOnt effect on the environment, has reviewed and considered the informa on anc deemed the ;proposal to be classified as a Class 5 Categorical Ex� mption from CEQA. NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL O� THE CITY OF MOORPARK, CALIFORNIA DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the City's ?on ng Ordinance regarding parking be amended as follows. Add: Section 8108 -1.3.7 - Private Parking Garage Standards - Any single or multi -level fully enclosed parking structure located in either the M -1 or M -2 zone approved with an Industr al Planned Development Permit may have parking spaces measuring no Icss than nine feet wide by nineteen feet six inches in length having i 'wenty five foot drive aisle width. Should the request to construct a perking structure apply to a previously approved Industrial Planned Development Permit (prior to the effective date of this Ordinance), then a Minor Modification will need to be approved (per Section 8111 -7) before the 9' x '9' 6" spaces may be utilized. Section 2. That this ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after its passage and adoption Section 3. That the City ClerK shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance; shall enter the same in the book of original ordinances of said City; shall make a minute of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of the City Council at which the same is passed and adopted-, and shall; within fifteen (15) days after the passage and adoption thereof, cause she same to be published once in the Moorpark News - Mirror, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, as defined in Section 6008 of the government cede, for the City of Moorpark, and which is hereby designated that p irpc.ose PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS DAY' & 1991 Paul W awrason Jr. Mayor Attest: Lillian E.
