In June, 1989, in response to citi-zen concerns, Council considered
implementation of parking restrictions in the vicinity of the Peach
Hill Park and decided to postpone action until a decision had been
made regarding parking restrictions within Tract 3963 (Griffin).
Now that Council is scheduled to consider Tract 3963 parking
restrictions, it is appropriate to consider Peach Hill parking
restrictions (please note that Tract 3963 was pulled from the
January 17, 1990 agenda since t1- Homeowners Association has not
responded to Lt. Rodriguez).
Per the October 25, 1989 letter (attached) from Countryside
Homeowners Association, parking n the vicinity of the Peach Hill
Park is still a concern to local residents. This parking problem
occurs primarily on Saturday ,N'..th some parking problems also
noticed on Sunday. The Countrysid -s Homeowners Association requests
the following:
1. A permit parking progricn on the west side of Peach Hill
Road (across from the ;ark)..
2. Parking prohibition or establishment of a loading zone
on the east side of F ^acts Hill Road (adjacent to the
park).

Accordingly, we suggest that the Council consider implementation
of a permit parking program (effective only on weekends) for the
west side of Peach Hill Road between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 6.00
P.M. This program will affect ight 31 homes along Peach Hill
Road.
We do not recommend consideration, of further parking restrictions
on the east side of Peach Hill Road until the permit parking
program has been implemented and evaluated.
If this permit parking program is approved in concept, the details
of such a program and its implementation will be developed by the
City Manager's office and the ShfrJff's Department.
RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve the concept of a permit parking program on Peach Hill Road
effective only on Saturdays and S andays from 8:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
and direct staff to return witt a resc, lution and procedures to
implement this restriction.

Our homeowner's association is aware of the :.act.. that several no- parking signs have

requested permit parking signs be posted on '_he west side of Peach Hill Road in
front of the residential homes. To these we 'lave not seen .any actions by
the Council, nor any correspondence as to t' reason °3 our request may have been
denied.
