ACCEPTANCE OF THE FIRST THREE SIGNALS ON
TIERRA REJADA ROAD
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Urban West Communities was ,-onditioned to construct six
traffic signals on Tierra Rejada Road as part of the
development conditions for their various tracts in the
Mountain Meadows area. The first three traffic signals (at
Peach Hill Road, Walnut Creek Road and Mountain Meadow
Drive) were turned on February 28, 1989 and the developer's
contractor has completed all of the punch list items as
prepared by the City's const.ru,..;tion observer.
Urban West Communities was required to post a bond of
$720,000 (Bond No. 111 - 32540052, issued by the American
Insurance Co.) to cover the construction cost of the six
Tierra Rejada signals. With acceptance of these first three
signals, this bond should be reduced to $396,000 to cover
the construction cost of the three remaining traffic
signals and a ten (10) percent guarantee for one year.
It is now appropriate for the Council to accept the first
three traffic signals and to ,- -du-e the construction bond.
