SUBJECT: Consider Cinco De Mayo Event
BACKGROUND:
At the February 12, 1990, Parks,,and Recreation Commission meeting, the
Commission formed a subcommittee of members Teresa Godinez and John
Torres to plan a Cinco De Mayo event. Cinco De Mayo is one of six
special events budgeted in the Recreation Special Events budget.
The subcommittee met with members of the community; Councilmember
Bernardo Perez, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Nainoa and Vickie McGowan to discuss
ideas for celebrating Cinco De Mayo.
At the March 12 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting, the
subcommittee presented the follow rig program for consideration:
