The two other public forums the 0ppartment has conducted have
identified the need for family s�,I, port programs, counselling, and adult
education. The key appears ?;o additional treatment facilities and
treatment services. Some spec'i f Pqr ie ,ts have been for youth social
recovery homes, shelters for women iith hildren, methadone treatment,

appropriate staff to attend the April 25, 1990 Forum in Simi Valley to

I am writing to invite you, and otner concened staff and citizens
of the City of Moorpark, to partic.i.pate in a Public Forum on
alcohol and other drug problems. I'his forum will be held on
April 25, 1990 at 7:00 p.m. in the Simi i7alley Library Community
Room, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.
The purpose of the forum is to soli..cit information directly from
communities in regard to what alcohol and other drug abuse
services are needed. Information received at these forums will
assist in the development and implementation of programs to be
funded from State and Federal gra.i�'.s .
Individuals are asked to identify themselves and briefly present
(in 3 minutes, or so) their percej. -A.ion of what kinds of programs
and services are needed. A panel. :.=sist.ing of the County's
District Supervisor and Departmenl Division Chiefs will hear the
testimonies. I have enclosed a f';yer for your reference, and if
