Additional Appropriation OVERVIEW This presents for approval the appropriation of additional funds for the subject project. DISCUSSION A. Background On September 6, 1989, the City Council awarded a contract to S. P. Milling Company for the construction of the subject project. All of the work has been completed less certain "punch list" corrections. B . Budget The amount initially budgeted for the project was $210,000 from Fund 03 -- Gas Tax. As a part of the action to awarded the contract, the City Council amended the amount of funds budgeted for this project as follows: 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark, California 93021 (805) 529-6864 Overlay Project April 12, 1990 Page 2 B. Additional Appropriations In taking its action last September, the City Council reduced the amount appropriated from the Gas Tax Fund for this project from $210,000 to $75,634.50. Based upon the above project cost summary it will be necessary Overlay Project April 12, 1990 Page 4 E. Additional Appropriations (cont.) to appropriate additional amounts from Fund 03 (Gas Tax) and Fund 027 (L A Ave AOC). The overall project accomplished much more pavement repair and restoration work than originally anticipated at the time the FY1989/90 Budget was adopted. RECOMMENDED ACTION 1. Approve an additional appropriation from Fund 03 (Gas Tax) in the amount of $76,567. 2. Appropriate $3,162 from Fund 27 (L A Ave AOC) for the drainage improvements describe above.
