DISCUSSION A. Background On March 7, 1990, the City Council authorized staff to advertise for receipt of bids for a project to replace curbs, gutters and sidewalks at designated locations throughout the City. The scope of that effort included the work subject to this minor project (see attached map). B. Drainage Problem The list of areas requiring concrete replacement includes two minor drainage problems which were discovered in preparing the plans and specifications for the 1990 Slurry Seal Project. These problems should be corrected prior to undertaking the street re -surfacing project. For that reason these areas were separated from the remainder of the concrete work, plans and specifications were prepared and this minor project was advertised for bids pursuant to the procedures for informal projects. 799 Moorpark Avenue Moorpark, California 93021 (805) 529-6864 Minor Concrete Project May 2, 1990 Page 2 C.
