SUBJECT: REQUEST THAT THE MOORPARE .CHUOL DISTRICT SHARE FUNDING COSTS
OF THE COMMUNITY SERVICE'c' ,FFICEI :.
Since its inception, the Commur -'y Services Officer (CSO) Program has
implemented a variety of community oriented programs. The CSO's duties
fall in to three areas; Crime Pre - vention, Schools and Administrative.
Last year in response to an increasing demand for the CSO "s services,
staff began an evaluation of all c: >r, going programs to prioritize request
for the CSO, thereby the use c:` the C'SO "s available hours. Despite
staff's efforts the activities Df 'he CSO have become excessive and can
no longer be accommodated without c: agLn'g )ther exi&Ling programs.
