Newhouse, Director of Community Services p!,/1/\ DATE : 7/27/90 1 � SUBJECT : Consider $2 , 500 Contribution to Moorpark Community Arts Committee Background: On February 15, 1989, the City Council approved the formation of the Moorpark Community Arts Committee . On November 15, 1989, the City Council appropriated $1, 500 in the form of a loan from excess GANN funds to the Arts Committee . At the Council meeting of July 11 , 1990, the Council considered a request for funds in the amount of $2, 500 from the Ventura County Arts Alliance . Following discussion of the Ventura County Arts Alliance request, it was agreed by consensus of the Council not to give funds to the Ventura County Arts Alliance but to continue discussion of giving $2, 500 to the Moorpark Community Arts Committee .
